This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Wow what a year 2021 has been due to the pandemic! From being online, to being hybrid, to finally fully being in person in the classroom.

My students and I are so grateful to be able to see, play, and learn in our happy place - our classroom!

Now that we are back in person, we are hitting the ground running to fill in the gaps. I am so happy that even during the pandemic, even during remote learning, they still had the same love and drive for learning as they had before. I want to keep this love going!

I have nine students this year that are in kindergarten, first, and second grade. They all have a hearing loss and range from using full ASL to using English. It is a challenge, but as teachers we are life long learners!

My Project

Each week I pick one student to be the VIP. This is a very, very important weekly event and if you are VIP then it is a huge deal. You get a picture posted on seesaw, a note sent home, access to ~exclusive~ pens and pencils, and their favorite, picking the go noodle for the day.

My students are very visual learners and seeing their picture on the VIP wall would make them feel even more proud of their accomplishments.

Having a photo printer means the students will be able to get their picture printed and put on the VIP wall, as well as take a picture home to their mom and dad. They will be so excited to show off their VIP title!
