My Students
Do you remember reading about outer space and thinking how wonderful it would be to be Neil Armstrong, first man to walk on the moon. Well, I want my children to walk in the shoes of that man, by reading his biography.
My students come to class with different backgrounds throughout GA.
They have different comprehension levels in reading. As a teacher, I want to set up reading groups based on students' abilities. This way, students are complementing each other based on the ability to understand and comprehend the materials being taught. They are able to ask questions without fear of being laughed at by other peers. I want them to grasp the material being taught at a meaningful level.
My Project
These requested materials will give my students a sense of ownership in their reading. The paper, ink and printer will give them a chance to print out their stories and give them pride and ownership in their work being displayed. They will be encouraged to learn more about technology with the ability to print out their work and research.
These books and materials will help me provide my students enjoyment and success in learning the Common Core curriculum in reading and science.
I want to help my students gain pleasure and fun in learning.
