Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year one of my goals is to increase the number of books our library has to offer our students. I have focused on chapter books, fiction, and nonfiction books and now I want to get some new exciting biographies onto our shelves. I have found the "Who Am I" collection and tried to pick people I know my students would want to read and possibly use for research in their classrooms.
My goal is to provide quality biography books to help foster a love of reading in all of my students.
These books will not only support my fellow teacher's curriculum, but they will help students find new a genre that they will enjoy reading.
I truly believe these books will get students excited about reading biographies. Who knows maybe one day I will have a "Who Am I" book about one of them in my collection!
