Our third grade students attend an elementary school in New York. For many of our students English is their second language. Our students are often new to the country and depend on technology to grow socially and academically. They enjoy drawing pictures or practicing spelling and math with whiteboards. Peers enjoy supporting one another through whiteboards as well.
My students have been working hard to become stronger readers and more proficient in the English language.
Our students work with their peers to complete many of their instructional activities such as math problems, researching government and creating informative culminating projects. Technology engages our students in all subject areas and they find a love and passion for learning. Due to COVID our students can not work with peers sharing a laptop. This project would allow each student to have their own device and stay safe.
