This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 2nd grade students come from a low-income community, and I’m always looking for ways to give them the tools they need to succeed. Individual whiteboards will allow my students to actively participate during lessons, practice new skills, and receive immediate feedback. This hands-on resource will help make learning more engaging, while also giving each child the chance to show their thinking and build confidence. Your support will directly impact their daily learning and help them grow academically! The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies.
