My Project

My third graders are learning multiplication and they love it! They are visual learners, and are ready to move on to multiplying bigger numbers.

These whiteboards with a grid on one side will help third graders do multiplication using the area model.

They will be able to draw and see a model of multiplication on the grid, and be able to break apart the factors to make multiplication easier.

Third graders love using whiteboards, knowing they can easily erase and change their thinking as they learn from their mistakes. I know they will love using these grids to help them draw models of their thinking.
