it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Teach the children well and let them lead the way," this line is from Greatest Love of All, by Michael Masser and Linda Creed. And I firmly believe what the song says. We must teach the children well as they are the future of this country and we will need to depend on them to lead the way into a bright future.
My students come from very diverse backgrounds.
They also have diverse ability levels. We are in a large school district that has been severely hit by budget cuts. We have very few supplies and there is definitely no money to be spent on "extras". My class is full of curious students who love to learn through hands-on lessons. They are bright and enjoy learning. They need exposure to lessons that cannot be taught using just the materials supplied by our district. My students are working so hard to do well during this time of distance learning.
My Project
These whiteboards will help both my in person and online students show me their work. Due to Covid protocols, I cannot get close to my students like I normally would so I can see their responses and help them with their work.
These white boards will allow my students to share their answers with me from a safe distance.
This, in turn, will help me understand how my students are doing. It will also help me give them individual assistance if needed. Online, my students can use the boards in a similar fashion to show me their answers in real time so I understand where they are in their learning and provide individual assistance when needed.
