This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a wonderful and eager group of students. I try every day to make learning fun and exciting for all of my students. My students are from low-income homes and are English Language Learners. Our school is a Title I school and all of our students qualify for the Free Lunch Program.
I have an amazing group of third gaders who come to school every day with the desire to learn!
They love to learn and constantly yearn for new experiences in which they may apply their new knowledge and skills. Our classroom is a safe and caring place where we gather as a community to learn to be respectful and responsible.
My Project
It is essential for my students to have tools they need to start the new school year with success. My students will use whiteboards during the live lessons to answer questions posed by the teacher.
Whiteboards will enable my students to practice skills and show their thinking process through drawing and practice, it also allows them to easily erase and make corrections if needed.
Whiteboards will allow my students to work through problems, demonstrate their strategies, and show me their thinking responses so I can check for understanding. I am hopeful that by providing these materials to my students, we can maximizing our learning time while outside the classroom.
