This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am hoping to get lined whiteboards, expo markers, and erasers for my kindergarten class. We like to work as a group on the carpet. While on the carpet, I like the students to use whiteboards to work on writing their letters and sight words, as well as simple sentences. Lined whiteboards will better help my students learn the mechanics of writing. It will help them learn how to write their letters within the lines.
Expo markers will enable the students to write letters, sight words, and simple sentences on their whiteboards.
It will give them a different experience from writing solely with a pencil. Erasers will help them keep their boards clean so we can use them for many years to come.
I am asking for the astro bright paper because I send home a newsletter each week with news about the classroom. For example, what letter and sight word of the week we are learning, what we are doing in math, any upcoming field trips, and any other important information that needs to be communicated to families. This newsletter is printed on astro bright paper.
