This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are adding a small piano lab to our middle school elective opportunities. The student population is very interested in music, but few are able to afford private lessons. The whiteboards and expo markers will be a very useful tool for them to use in learning how to read music and play piano. They easily sit on the piano music stand, or can be held on lap if needed. This also saves the use of paper music theory sheets!

The school has recently lost their band director, so this will be the only instrumental ensemble option for this school year.
