My Project
In our 1st grade classroom we are constantly sharing our ideas and working together! During a typical day we transition around the room quite often, whether we're starting a lesson on our classroom rug, working with partners at our tables, or practicing skills in centers. My students use visuals and examples to assist in their learning, but aren't always seated nearby.
Having a mobile whiteboard will allow me to support students' learning, wherever they might be in our classroom!
We share our thinking and ideas during all parts of the day, from morning meeting to writing to math! During whole group lessons, we can use the mobile whiteboard to create anchor charts on key topics and ideas! Then students will be able to refer to our charts again and again.
During small group instruction, our mobile whiteboard will be nearby and provide me with a valuable teaching tool! Finally, our mobile whiteboard will be used by students to model and explain their own thinking. This will give them ownership of their learning and allow them to learn from one another. The addition of a mobile whiteboard will not only enhance my teaching, but greatly benefit my students and their learning!
