Most of my students are visual learners. They need to see how Geometry lessons can be fun and interactive using Geometer's sketchpad. The white board will help them see the program better than a brown chalkbaord that I have currently have in my classroom. We also need a space where announcements for best students can be displayed. It is also a place where new ideas or questions on hold can be written.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. B.'s classroom raised $174

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a high need school with 86% receiving free lunch and breakfast. I have one class with special education students and another class with English Language Learners. My students are 11th graders who are highly motivated to succeed in spite of their social and family difficulties.
My students would love a white board where they can scribble notes for clarifying their thoughts and processes. When ideas are written out, they love to look at them and it reminds them to go back to it the following day. A whiteboard can also serve as the vocabulary wall.
With the white board securely placed in the corner of the room where everybody can see, vocabulary words in math can be written out and displayed, formulas, and questions can be shown. It can also serve as an announcement corner for successful students in cooperative learning groups.
You will make it possible for students to be more motivated and active participants in their own learning process.
