it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love how curious, resilient, and collaborative my high school math students are. They come into class every day ready to challenge themselves, help one another, and engage with complex problems—even when math feels intimidating. What inspires me most is their willingness to learn from mistakes and their excitement when a tough concept finally "clicks."
To support this active learning environment, I’m requesting whiteboard materials—specifically whiteboard wall paper,—for student use.
These tools will allow us to create more opportunities for group work, visible thinking, and real-time feedback. When students can stand up and work through problems together on vertical whiteboards, it transforms the classroom dynamic. It encourages discussion, deepens understanding, and helps me quickly identify where students are struggling.
By giving each group their own whiteboard space, we’ll be fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and confidence—skills that extend far beyond the math classroom. This resource will make learning more hands-on, interactive, and engaging for every student.
