Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I constantly use whiteboards in my class. Whether it is cooperative learning or self-quizzes, students use whiteboards to express their understanding and compare ideas. However, over time, my whiteboards have gotten a bit dingy, stained and scratched. We need new whiteboards that students can easily write on without ruining their markers.
Your contribution will help purchase new whiteboards that are also Math friendly.
One one side they are white so that students can compute solutions to equations and show their work. On the reverse side, the boards have xy coordinate planes so that students can practice graphing.
With these new tools, students will be able to practice and compare their ideas, including graphing, and be able to show their understanding to express their ideas clearly.
