White Boards and Big Music Books for 1st Grade

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Many come from single-family homes or are second language learners but everyone comes with a smile and an expectation for success.

I am amazed by the enthusiasm each child comes with, ready to take in all I have prepared for them and read to build their background knowledge that will help them access the coming curriculum.

I am excited to implement a whole brain learning program this year to promote communication and transfer of learning as well as leadership, kindness, grit, resourcefulness GRATITUDE and respect. I know this will lead to more respect between students and even in families.

I have a large percentage with second language challenges but since I worked with them last year I know they will work hard and accomplish great things! The ability to leave 1st-grade powerful readers is my goal!

My Project

I am excited to bring better organization and more space to my student's desks with these name tag holders and pencil trays that will rest at the far back of the desks. No more wasted time opening tote trays, ruffling through their tool bag for a pencil!

To add to my first graders' adventure, this set of Whiteboards will give us a way to add variety to our learning!

With just a few whiteboards group learning was impossible but with this set, we will have options for reading, writing, and Math.

I have an amazing group of diverse learners and native languages in my group so being able to bring music in with books I will make to reflect our population is going to be magical! Talk about instilling good values while learning to read... That is this teacher's dream! Thanks for helping me accomplish this!
