Whispering Woods: A Haven for Bookworms!

Help me give my students a calming and relaxing enviroment to read with comfortable seatings and a series of books.

My Project

My students come from a Title I school where 95 percent of them are from military families, either mom or dad is in the service. This means that the students are usually in a single-parent environment and/or they move frequently, making it difficult to have a solid base of friends and learn fundamentals.

Even with the hardship of a military family, the students are enthusiastic and ready to tackle what third grade has in store.

My goal for this project is to create a relaxing and calming reading environment for the students. Providing them with a variety of comforting seating, I hope this encourages myreaders to settle in and relaxing while reading. The soft ambient lighting creates a soothing atmosphere that is easy on the eyes and conducive to relaxation. Giving the children a vareity of books to pick, from books for fun to learning about the English lanuage, I hope it will foster a love for reading.
