My Project
I would like each of my students to have their own whisper phone along with a pointer that highlights words for children as they learn to read. The Whisper Phone enables children to hear phonemes ten times more clearly as they learn to read, spell, or process language aloud! By channeling voices directly to their ears, children hear what they are reading, even at a whisper, keeping the classroom quieter and helping each child concentrate on his or her work. Whisper Phones can support early reading and this specific model makes them hands free for the students to use their hands to hold a book and point as they read when necessary.
Early reading can be stressful, and these finger pointers and whisper phones can bring a element of fun and ownership to a hesitant reader.
