it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a set of four Ninja blenders for my classroom, where I teach 7th and 8th grade students in both Skills for Living and Principles of Human Services courses. These classes involve frequent hands-on learning in the kitchen, and blenders are a key tool in many of our recipes—particularly for making smoothies, blended bowls, and other nutritious meals. Given the high level of daily use (six class periods per day), I believe Ninja blenders are the most reliable and durable option for middle school students. Their sturdy design and easy-to-clean parts also make them a safer, more practical choice for a classroom setting.
I truly love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to teach students the basic skills they’ll need to live independently.
My students are motivated, eager to learn, and excited to be in class. Watching them grow in confidence as they gain real-world knowledge that will serve them for life is a joy.
In addition, I’m requesting Clorox wipes, essential to maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. We conduct cooking labs every Friday, and regularly sanitizing our workspaces helps ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
I also like to provide notebook paper for students who may not have their own supplies. Having paper readily available ensures that every student can fully participate in class activities without feeling left out or unprepared. Lastly, I’m requesting stickers to use as positive reinforcement. These serve as fun, simple incentives for students who consistently follow classroom expectations and contribute positively to our learning environment.
These requested items will not only support daily instruction and hands-on learning, but also help foster a classroom culture that is inclusive, safe, and motivating for all students.
