My Students

My students are in kindergarten and are 5-6 years old. They are young and excited to learn at school. They come in every day ready to learn something new. They learn best through hands-on experiences. I want to provide my students with the best possible learning experience that I can. Our Title I school is located in a small town. It is a wonderful school to be a part of. Students come in and are welcomed by school members who want to help them succeed.

My Project

My students love having flexible seating options in our classroom. My kindergarten students want to have enough seats for each child in our class. My students will use the stability balls in two ways. My students want to each have their own seat that allows them to move while working at their tables.

Kindergarten students need lots of brain breaks in-between activities.

Last year we started doing yoga in our classroom. The kids LOVED it. They want to learn new yoga moves to do during our brain breaks. They will be able to use the stability balls while doing yoga. The balls with also help students learn how to have a healthy posture while sitting on the stability balls as they learn in class.

The Hokki stools will provide another alternative for seating. Hokki stools have a rounded base that allows students to move quietly at their seats while they are working. Both the Hokki stools and the stability balls are light weight and will allow the students to move them around the room when they are working at different learning stations.
