Which Causes Plants to Grow Faster; Hydroponics or Soil Environments?

Help me give my students indoor hydroponics growers as well as take home gardening kits to help them understand what causes plants to grow.

My Project

My students love and need more hands on experiences that challenge their thinking and help them to understand the concepts we learn in 6th grade science. My students will be doing a STEM challenge in which they use the Mufga Hydroponics growing systems to grow plants indoors. They will also use the soil, bags, pots, and seeds to make kits to grow plants in the sunlight at home. The challenge will be to see if the plants grow better and faster in the hydroponics system or the traditional soil system.
