My students are new to our school! I teach kindergarten in the suburbs of Las Vegas and this year has begun very differently! I am going to meet my students virtually. We have been getting to get to know each other in a new (and hopefully fun) way!
Kindergartners are usually one of two things at the start of the school year: they are either so excited to be at school or somewhat fearful of the new experience.
I hope to help them learn to love school even though we are not physically together. It will be a challenge but it will be possible! We can do this!
My Project
By the end of the kindergarten year, we hope that each and every child will be reading. Why not make it fun? These stamps and magnets will help children learn to build words in a fun and engaging way.
Any time a young child gets the opportunity to play with letters and sounds is a gift.
They need to be given multiple opportunities to learn how to read and in multiple modes. We can watch videos and sing along, we can write, we can read actual words but these tools will help them to build words in a new way that I just know they will enjoy!
