My students attend a school that houses kindergarten through 5th grade. I currently have 23 kiddos in my classroom that love to learn!
My students are very curious about their world around them and love to learn new things, especially when the learning involves new technology!
I have found through my years of teaching that each child can potentially have a different way of learning. Providing them with new and inventive ways to learn is my goal.
My hope is that my kindergarten classroom is a warm, inviting, and energetic place for my students. My kindergarten kiddos all have different learning styles, and my goal is to include more learning using technology.
My Project
My students are growing up in a technology savvy world. Many of my students come to school and are unable to navigate a mouse, or do not have any experience using a touchscreen iPad. I would like to give my students these opportunities as well as make learning fun!
The Osmo system in my classroom would give my students a fun and engaging way to learn beyond just looking at a screen or listening to me talk, but we need to be able to charge them!
We currently have 4 Osmo systems in our classroom, but we are unable to charge them all at one time. That leaves us with some useless iPads and OSMO systems. If we were able to get a Charging Station and cords, the iPads would be charged and ready to go whenever my students are!
The Osmo system allows my students to learn kindergarten concepts while putting their hands on manipulatives that can help them reach their academic potential, so the Charging Station would help bring academics to my students in a fun and engaging way!
