Help me give my students places to store our theme sorted book libraries. These book bins will allow students to find self selected books in minutes instead of spending lots of time just searching for the right book.
Welcome to my learning world. We are a low-income school with approximately 70% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch. Approximately 25% of my students receive services to assist in reading and math progress or Special Education services to meet their individual learning needs.
Our teachers work diligently to provide the best education for each and every student.
Our school motto, "Build Today's Learners To Become Tomorrow's Leaders," is the goal for all our students. My students are encouraged to be creative, curious, positive-minded risk takers. They know the importance of true grit, perseverance, and lifelong learning. It is my responsibility to provide my students with creative, challenging and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous. They like to move, solve math problems, read and love lots of positive attention. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I try to provide them with an ongoing learning experience that builds character, encourages teamwork and provides unlimited opportunities for learning.
My Project
I have hundreds and hundreds of student books and magazines in my classroom. I need book bins to better sort and label them. Students spend lots of time just searching for the specific books they want to read. These bins will allow me to sort all my books by themes, authors, genres and levels making book selection much easier and faster. Students will spend precious minutes reading books, not searching for them. These bins will give students the ability to choose from well labeled and sorted materials. They will also have the responsibility to return their books when completed. The labeled book bins will make returning books to their specific "spot" much easier.
