My 36 First graders this year and I are learning to change classes. So far it has been great. It has been a joy getting to teach and know another group of students. Although, it has been a challenge to make sure I have enough copies for each student and at the same time.
My first graders love to work together in small groups and as a whole group.
They are hard working and enjoying trading classes. Since we have an allotted amount of time for each class, we have been completing a lot more of our work in small groups and whole group settings.
My Project
I would love to have an Elmo Projector in my classroom, so I can make worksheets more interactive and more effective. At the same time, conserve paper. My students and I would use a variety of worksheets during the week, which we would complete as a small group and/or whole group.
Getting to use an Elmo Projector while working worksheets together as a class will reach my visual learners, build self-confidence in my shy students and encourage teamwork.
It will also provide me the opportunity to educate all my students more efficiently.
