it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach six and seventh grade students with learning disabilities in a Special Day Class setting. I am proud to be their teacher and work hard every day to enable them to succeed academically, socially, and to live independent lives.
Most of my students come from a low social economic class, yet their lack of resources and learning disabilities do not hinder their passion to learn and succeed.
As their teacher, I want to make sure they have the necessary supplies and technology to help them reach their potential.
My Project
My students are in need of technology in the classroom to see what an incredible world they live in. Many of them don't have access to computers at home, therefore; they depend on having this much needed resource at school.
They need to have access to computers everyday to enable them to do research for projects, look for career options, write resumes, learn how to type on the keyboard or just have fun playing educational games.
Having computers will help my students access the outside world and bring it into their classroom. The headphones and speaker will help those students who have hearing disabilities access the computers more effectively, while having a teacher working computer will link our classroom as we travel across the world.
