My Project
In our kindergarten classroom, the carpet is more than just a place to sit—it's the heart of our learning. My current carpet has served us well, but after years of use, it's worn, stained, and no longer the vibrant, welcoming space it once was. I am requesting a world map classroom carpet because it offers so much more than comfort. It becomes a daily teaching tool—sparking curiosity, grounding stories in geography, and giving students a visual connection to the wider world. Whether we’re reading a book set in another country, learning about animals in science, or simply finding where we live, the world carpet makes every lesson richer and more engaging.
This carpet will bring the world into our classroom, sparking curiosity and supporting cross-curricular learning every single day.
My goal is to create a classroom environment that encourages global awareness, early geography skills, and a sense of belonging in a diverse world. The students I teach are joyful, eager learners who light up when they discover something new. Many come from families with limited access to learning materials at home, so it’s important to me to make our classroom as enriching and inspiring as possible. A world carpet isn't just a new rug—it’s a launchpad for discovery, inclusion, and endless exploration.
