Where In The World Are You?

Help me give my students the opportunity to be able to use world globes to help with their geography lessons.

My Project

I am a special education teacher to 65 students. I teach World History, US History, and Government/Economics to sophomores, juniors and seniors. Daily geography lessons are incorporated into the curriculum.

As worldwide events unfold, it's important for students to understand the significance of their roles as global citizens.

A globe gives students a visual that they can't find online. They recognize direction, how earth's physical properties can impact the way people live and think, and how cultures interact with one another.

Current events is also a part of our curriculum. If a student doesn't know where to find a country or region, how can they comprehend what's going on in the news? By studying geography, it will make them better understand current events.

Geography is more than just studying maps. It will enhance their knowledge of history. Geographical awareness will also teach my students to appreciate the difference in cultures because we are all connected and dependent on one another.
