My students need one Explorer Smart Talking globe.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. W.'s classroom raised $200

Ethnically Diverse inquisitive first graders looking for more global information.
I teach twenty-one first grade students. I have students from Asian, Russian, and Vietnamese decent. Our school has taught students since the late 1800's. Some of our students' parents and grandparents attended our school.
Our previous globe was not up-to-date. I was unable to show the students their place of origin and could not share with the other students the diversity of our classroom or our world.
My students need a new talking globe that shows the world and it's recent changes. A talking globe would benefit my students by providing them with the ability to use the globe to gain knowledge and understanding of the world around them without being limited by their reading ability.
First graders marvel at the world around them and want to learn but are limited because their reading skills are in the beginning stages. With a talking globe, the students would be given the opportunity to increase their knowledge without being held down by their reading level.
By donating a talking globe, the students in my classroom will be empowered to learn and grow.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
