My students need two interactive globes so they will be able to identify the places we visit on our world adventures.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pope's classroom raised $454
This project is fully funded
Help! We're lost! My 4th grade students are thrilled that we just recently expanded our classroom library to include texts to take us around the world. Recently, our Donors Choose proposal was funded, but now we realize that we need globes to assist us with our travels.
My students attend an inner-city school and very few of them ever get the opportunity to leave our state, let alone our country. Thankfully, we are able to travel through books. We are focusing each month on a different continent. As we started our travels, we hit another roadblock. We need directions! The best way to figure out where we are going is with the use of globes.
The most recent globe I've seen in our school still contains the USSR. That being said, we need to update our globes. I've brought in my personal Leap Frog interactive globe and the students are thrilled to explore the world. Unfortunately, the globe is a bit worn out and doesn't always work the way it is supposed to. I would like to update our classroom with two new Leap Frog interactive globes that allow students to learn about various countries' music, money, highest points, and capitals. With these globes, the students will also be able to play a speed game where they have to identify the locations of states or countries. Some have had the opportunity to try out these functions on my globe and have been thrilled with the experience!
By donating to this project, you will help students see the world more clearly. These globes will enhance our world travels and hopefully allow the students to be more accepting and knowledgeable of the people and customs around the world.
