Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The energy level is off the Richter scale in my room on a consistent basis.

I have a classroom full of spontaneous, high energy 5th graders who are always eager to learn.

I teach at a Title 1 school where many of our students are on free or reduced lunches based on income. Because of this, I have a wide variety of students with various amounts of support and supplies at home.

My Project

We are in desperate need for basic classroom supplies. With our budget dwindling for these necessities, I take it upon myself to stockpile tape, erasers. pencils, and folders. A large portion of my day is devote to small group instruction or centers, where I need many of these supplies.

By having a reserve of these basic classroom materials, I can better meet the needs of my students and will have an easier time delivering quality instruction.

I can also run my reading groups with the supplies required.
