My Students
My students come from 8 counties all across the Southern Crescent Region of metro-Atlanta. We're in the heart of the thriving film industry, and our students are excited to see the changes going on throughout Georgia.
In my classroom, my students are able to engage with real-world issues to discover how technology can bring about change.
The best part about my position is that I am able to help students wonder about the world around them and identify issues that they believe are important. As they dream, students will be able to actively create products that attempt to solve problems that they have identified.
My Project
In my computer and technology class, I would love to have a mini-lesson that includes a children's book that is themed around the use of technology. When a child interacts with a book, magical things happen . . . and when you can properly integrate technology into that magical moment . . . extraordinary things can happen.
My goal is to have one book for every week of school to read to my students and then have them recreate a scene or even extend a scene from the book.
They will have the ability to use a wide range of technology to expand the scenes, but I need the books to begin the journey.
