This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
An essential part of being an effective educator is consistent research and learning. Over the past few years, I have participated in many professional development opportunities about the Science of Reading and implementing curriculum to teach my students how to read and write.
These books will allow me to learn the content behind literacy.
I will continue to learn how to give my students what they need based on research and the science behind how the brain works when learning how to read. These books will allow me to use research-based materials to support my students' learning. I am dedicated to learning more and making sure my ELLs are receiving explicit, systematic and meaningful instruction. All students deserve to learn how to read and write.
