This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having been a teacher for many years, I have come across many situations where my students are not well prepared when puberty happens. My students come from below income households where money is limited. They rely on teachers to help them when they can not afford personal hygiene items.
Many of my students do not have access to personal hygiene items that they need because their parents can not afford to buy them.
My students will go without basic needs because they can not afford them. They come to school and rely on their teacher to help them when they need personal hygiene items.
By having the basic hygiene needs in the classroom for my students, they do not have to worry about where they will get these items from.
