When Life Hands You Color - Learn With It!

Help me give my students a color-coded organizational system for our classroom that will promote independent thinking, organization, and autonomy in a critical learning year!

My Project

My students are tenacious, resilient, and eager to learn—all the while, overcoming adversity and pushing through the challenges of closing gaps in reading and math. I will be transitioning to 3rd grade with my students, where we will continue to build their skills in all subject areas. In order to do this, our classroom will require a visual system that allows my students to stay organized and move through groups and centers independently.

The color-coded organization system will provide my students with the tools to stay organized in a grade level that transitions from learning to read - to reading to learn.

Each student will be assigned to a color-coded group based on literacy needs. All activities, small group work, independent work, and supplies will be found by color. These tools serve students by promoting independence and autonomy in the classroom! Lastly, the goal of education is to serve the whole child, and by teaching them the importance of organization at an early age they are better prepared for the future.
