My Project
The materials that I am requesting are to expand the imagination of my Dramatic Play Area in my classroom. Since this area is the most popular area in my classroom, I want to make sure that my students are actively engaged in this area. I change the dramatic play area every few months, adding different dress-up clothes, foods and appliances. My students are always surprised when they see new items in this section of the classroom.
I want my students to thrive in their creative skills in dress-up and their love of cooking with their friends.
My students enjoy pretending to play "hair salon" where they do each other's hair, make-up and nails. The boys in the class enjoy pretend shaving their beards or cutting their hair at the barber shop. I want to give them the right materials to ensure that they are having fun with the shaving and styling kit. They always say they want to be a hair stylist when they grow up. I want to be the one to help them expand on that and prepare them for their future.
I hope that the materials that I added to my list ensure their love of "playing pretend" with their friends!
