Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We have a strong community (family) school where all the teachers know all of the children and their families. I teach in a public school. I see 758 students a week. I teach low-income students and they are truly a ray of sunshine. They do whatever I ask and they don't complain. We make some of the equipment we use in class.
For every stage of a person's life, there is a place called home, a place where you feel special, and where everybody is either friend or family.
My Project
Mental health is the most important aspect of teaching that I focus on this year; we are seeing adverse behaviors and students with various needs in the classroom that are related to behavior. The donations will help provide a very natural and safe way for my students to express themselves.
I am seeking art materials for them to use to express their feelings.
I want them to recognize that they are special people in this world and that they make a big difference in shaping this world. They are the future.
