My Students
I teach Biology in the largest school in our county. As with so many schools, funding has been completely cut back, and class sizes are on the rise. One of my primary focuses, other than teaching content, is to make this class one in which all students learn and grow to reach their own individual potential.
My students are athletes, scholars, artists, workers, gifted, challenged, affluent, and impoverished.
Finding common ground for all these characteristics is one of my favorite challenges to undertake.

My Project
Biology is a vocabulary-driven science. Many of my students struggle with the terminology, and need to practice it often in order to ensure mastery.
The key to success is having the words at their fingertips.
Each week I add to the list of terms, and have my students create a flip book of vocabulary cards that will help them throughout the course and on the final exam.
Your donation will enable all of my students to have the materials they need to create their flip book. Many of my students do not have these resources on their own, and would not be able to have such a valuable tool to help them master the terms.
