This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is a second grade class in the inner city. These 26 students are very eager to learn new concepts.
Each day our math lessons require that we use a dry erase slate to answer questions. We have an abundance of dry erase slates...BUT no dry erase markers. The students here love to use dry erase boards and the level of participation and motivation is truly AWESOME when we do.
I am requesting multiple packs of dry erase markers to help us get through the school year, and optimize the learning and participation in math class.
It is truly such a small thing...a marker...that will help these children on the road to success. Your generosity will make a huge difference in the lives of these 7 and 8 year old students.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
