Have you ever heard of a Surface 2? Of course you have, and so have all my students. When given a choice to practice and learn new skills with pencil and paper or by using technology, they will always choose technology.
I am a first grade math teacher at a rural school district in Oklahoma.
I have thirty-eight, 6 & 7 year old students in my classroom. I have a very tech savvy classroom and my students are very comfortable with the incorporation of technology into our daily routines.
My Project
My students would greatly benefit from the use of a Surface 2 tablet in our classroom. My students would be able to practice new skills on the learning apps, participate in Study Island and STAR Math testing, and read digital books from our school library.
My school district has been faced with so many state and federal cutbacks and often does not have extra money available for technology.
We depend on donors like you to help fund our learning projects so we can continue to motivate and inspire our students.
