Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most people do not realize it, but the classroom is almost like a home. In fact, the staff and students spend as much awake time in school as they do at home during the school year! In our school home, there are so many items, big and small, that contribute to the overall environment. A large portion of the essential items are provided by the school system, but there are still gaps in what is needed. When both General education and Special Education need books, drawers, and more, who takes care of that? We do; we do what we have to do. If we can't do it ourselves, we find a way to get the things we need to get the best possible outcome for the students.
Please help me obtain items inside and outside our classroom that my students need.
The headphones will be used so students can uses their computers and not distract each other; the printer and toner will be used by students to print their writing assignments and research projects; the novels and study guides will be used for literature circles; and Teachers Pay Teachers cards will be used to purchase curricular supportive materials for my students.
