My Students
I work as a special education teacher in my school, currently in an Integrated Co-Teaching setting. My students fit in at least one of the following categories: special needs, English language learners, and/or low income households.
My students are visual learners with an eye for the latest technology in the classroom.
An engaging classroom with the latest technology in displaying lessons and educational content is key when teaching my students of different backgrounds and challenges in the classroom. I always look to figure out different ways to enhance the classroom to make it a more fun and accessible environment.
My Project
I would like to request a MacBook Air for the classroom to not only assist me in teaching my students but to grow professionally. A Mac in the classroom would be good for creating and displaying engaging lessons and providing effective instruction for my students of all types of learners and have access to educational applications. Having a Mac would also allow me to participate in webinars and other professional development opportunities, which would allow me to grow professionally as an educator. This would help me learn more ways of enhancing my classroom and instruction. A Mac is a very intuitive piece of technology that would benefit the classroom and professional learning.
Integrating current technology would greatly benefit my classroom and would enhance my students' learning.
My wish is to provide an engaging and accessible learning environment for my students, as well as growing professionally and improving my teaching in the classroom full of students with various educational needs.
