Help me give my students their own dry erase materials and highlighter for use in class or at home, a storage box for each student, plus Plickers cards and storage envelope for formative assessment in class.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are pretty amazing and resilient. As we transition to a blended classroom where some learning will be done online and other pieces in class, students need consistency. They also need tools just for them regardless of being at home or at school. And while teachers can hope and teach students to come to class prepared, the reality is that they do not.
Moving forward, all students need their own tools and a place to store them!
Students will need a dry erase marker, highlighter, pencil, and their earbuds, and while they can be stored in a germ-collecting bin, individual storage boxes safely protect each and every student.
My Project
In a normal time, students come in and out of math class at a rapid rate. Now, students will need to help sanitize EVERYTHING. To help reduce the exposure to chemicals, make clean up faster, and storage simple, every student will have their own box for storing dry erase marker, eraser, highlighter, and earbuds.
What once could be shared can no longer be done.
Many students cannot afford a simple highlighter or marker, let alone the box to store all of this - especially in multiple classrooms. Help me provide the tools my students need to be successful in both my virtual and physical classroom.
Although complete class sets of everything would be amazing, the plastic Plickers cards and storage envelope allow for easier sanitation and storage of both these and dry erase boards.
