My Students

My students are the entirety of our school. I serve all the students at our school in the discipline of science. My students come to me ready to learn, explore, and experiment to become critical thinkers.

Part of my school is Title I, which means they come from high poverty situations and may not have access to materials and resources at home.

Part of my school is Magnet, which means their parents may not live close by, but have chosen to send their child here because of the opportunities and experiences they can have as part of at our school.

My Project

Watching videos, completing worksheets and researching on the Internet about the human body is one thing, but being able to see and touch a life sized replica of what is inside our own body is altogether another thing! Imagine building a model of a lung or seeing one in a text book.

Now imagine being able to hold a replica of one in your hands and placing it in the spot a real lung would go.

The hands on experience would resonate much deeper. I want to spark the interest of my students to go into a career of science. This model just may do that. I may have the next Jonas Salk in my class and your donation may help them realize it.
