I teach in a poor, rural community. My students are awesome and extremely intelligent - they deserve the best education that I can give them.
To do that I need your help. My school system cannot afford the science materials needed to prepare my kids for college.
Science equipment is expensive. It is also complex. It is extremely important that my students are exposed to the equipment that they will be asked to use in college. This could mean the difference between them lasting through their first semester in college or dropping out. Your help is essential!!!
The study of DNA can lead my students into several different career paths, medicine, forensics and law are only three of the possible choices. By introducing my students to DNA technology, I encourage them to think outside the box in terms of their future.
Please help me encourage these students to reach far and high. Without your help, I cannot provide the materials that my students need. I cannot show them the excitement of working with DNA and the importance of the work that they could be doing. My students should not be held back by the fact that they are growing up in a poor community. We are grateful for everything that you can do for us.
