Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard working and eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds and home lives. It sometimes affects them socially and emotionally. They mostly come from financially challenging homes.
Some come to school hungry and rely on school meals for nourishment.
Many of my students need to feel I am there for them which is something I strive to provide for them.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning. It gives them fun tidbits and interactive hands-on learning.
Scholastic News is a great way to learn new things in a magazine format for young learners and they can read together with their family at home as well.
I enjoyed Scholastic News as a child and my students have as well.
They love the colorful pages and fun facts as well. I would love the opportunity to give my students a magazine for kids that has a kid-friendly language with colorful photos.
