The children in my classroom are Pre-K and Kindergarten students! This is their first step on their educational journey. Most of them are experiencing school and socializing with same-aged peers for the first time. My students are a part of a wonderful and loving school family. At our school, we emphasize the importance of community!
Name identification is an essential first step is reading!
With the nameplate display trays, my students will be able to easily see their names. I currently write my students' names on their tables with a sharpie. The sharpies smears after being cleaned multiple times a day, and it is hard for the kiddos to see their names whenever they are working on a project. These nameplate display trays would be a game changer in helping my students more easily identify and write their first and last names! The word mapping boards will help my students to easily see how many sounds or syllables are in a word! Visualizing the sounds will help my students develop phonemic awareness.
