Help me give my students a hands-on experience, by purchasing them an egg incubator and the supplies that go along with hatching eggs in the classroom. We will be doing this project with our informational writing unit.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Writing is one of the hardest skills children learn. So, why not make it hands-on! We are beginning our informational writing unit, with a focus on chickens. By allowing the students the opportunity to hatch chicks in the classroom, they learn more than any book could ever teach them!
Both non-fiction and fiction books will be utilized in combination with the purchased incubator and chick supplies to create a unique, cross-curricular experience for the students!
Many students were unable to experience hands-on learning last year. We want to change that!
