What's Happening With the Weather?

My students need ways to measure the weather. These self-contained Weather Center kits will allow us to track the weather in real-time right at school. The poster will help me describe to the students what is happening daily.

My Students

My students are a great group of kids who are excited about learning. Over 3/4 of my students come from homes that fall below the poverty line in a rural setting. They want to learn but don't always have the opportunity to do so.

The students love doing hands-on projects but we don't always have the materials available to complete these.

There's nothing worse than looking at the students and having to tell them that I don't have what they need.

My Project

My students will be able to take the data and see how it impacts their daily life. They will be able to use the information to make decisions about what to wear, if they need a coat, and if they need an umbrella.

Students need to be able to understand the world around them and by using these weather instruments, they will understand something that affects them daily.

My students need to know how the world around them if affected by the different kinds of weather we experience. They need to be able to read the signs around them that nature produces.
