My Project

What our kids do with an idea, a problem, or a chance, matters. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our kids have lost learning, both academically as well as in social-emotional well-being. These resources are to help bridge the gap.

These award-winning storybooks inspire students to achieve things that are harder to reach.

They will motivate them, encourage them and make them feel they are not alone.

The desired outcome of these books are to help students understand that ideas can help solve problems. They will understand that their ideas have value and that their ideas can bring about a positive change. There are social emotional lessons in these books and can be coupled with team building and getting along exercises.

The art and music supplies will instill joy and love in the classroom and help their mental well-being. Most of the students come from low income homes and have barely been exposed to art supplies. The portable speaker will be used mostly outdoors to do PE activities like musical chairs, hurdle races, etc. Physical Education is important not only to help keep our kids fit but also build their gross and fine motor skills. It helps in team building as well as personal character. It will help develop their social-emotional skills. The umbrellas come in handy during rainy days in our big campus with no covered walkway. And the reading intervention is very crucial as we are seeing a lot of students not know basic phonemic awareness and will help bridge the gap of lost skills.
