Remember your favorite children's book? My students still have yet to find that book that instills a life long love of reading. I teach first grade in a low-income urban school.
My students are just learning to read and some already love it while others hate it because they haven't found that book to hook them into the wonder of reading. I want my first graders to wish they never had to put down their book and see themselves grow in reading.
With the Leapfrog Activity books they will be able to read independently and experience some of the great children's classics. These activity books will not only inspire them to read but also help with their phonics and comprehension skills.
